Many hunters probably are not aware that big game hunting is possible in Uganda. Hunting is carried out in concession areas only and as from 2001 has been subject to legal regulations. Buffalo occur in large numbers and therefore a buffalo hunt should be the starting point of a big game hunt in Uganda.
Our partner operates 2 concessions. The major concession (400 000 ha) borders on the “Lake M´buru National Park” and is situated 4 hours drive by car from the capital Kampala. Uganda straddles the equator and thus has a mild and equable climate all year round. Physical fitness is essential for a successful hunting safari. Guests are accommodated in comfortable tented camps.
The big game hunter can hunt the following game species:
Buffalo, hippo, sitatunga, waterbuck, reedbuck, bushbuck, topi, oribi, duiker, impala, eland, burchell’s zebra, warthog and bushpig.
